“Some Enchanted Evening”

Holy Spirit Catholic School 17^th Annual Dinner/Auction 2007

The 17^th Annual Dinner/Action took place on Saturday, February 10^th at Phil Meador’s Courtesy Ford. The evening began at 6:00pm with registration and the silent auction which had over 200 wonderful items. A gourmet dinner was served at 7:00pm catered by the Continental Bistro. Live entertainment was provided by piano and bass duo Gary Ford & Lisa Hall. Of course everyone could enjoy a glass (or two) of wine and beer. The live auction started at 8:00pm and featured 45 unique items that included; classroom projects, a barn party, the Sun Valley Resort, a weekend in Lava Hot Springs, guided fly fishing on the South Fork, and a trip to see the Seattle Mariners with all access V.I.P. treatment, to name just a few. The ladies of the CCW donated 20 boxes of their delicious handmade chocolates, which were raffled off as door prizes through out the evening. For only $1.00 you could buy a chance to win the “Wagon of Cheer” which was full of every liquid “spirit” imaginable. The “Balloon Pop”, which is always a popular item, sold for $20.00 a balloon and the winner received $1,000.00.

The Annual Dinner/Auction is Holy Spirit Catholic School’s largest and most successful fundraiser earning over $40,000 dollars after expenses. It is a huge undertaking to organize, and set-up a dinner and auction to serve 400 people. Many dedicated volunteers put in long hours to make this evening happen. Every Holy Spirit family is responsible to solicit one item for the auction.

It is amazing when everything comes together and you’re able to witness the sales area and service bay of Courtesy Ford transform into an elegant dining area and auction showroom. This is definitely an event you won’t want to miss. The Dinner/Auction is a giant adult party with delicious food, live entertainment, beer, wine, auction items to purchase and a great deal of fun!
