Dear Families of Mrs. Betty’s First Graders,

Ø Attached to this newsletter you will find your child’s Pizza Hut Book-It certificate for October and November. If there is not a certificate for November, I didn’t receive the Book-It calendar – more importantly, your child will not be able to have lunch at Pizza Hut at the end of the year – I will still accept them until next Wednesday.

Ø Please note the change in the Christmas Party. The calendar indicates it will be Dec. 20 at 1:00; we will be walking to the Reel Theater for Pay-Off at that time to see “Everybody’s Hero”, rated G. Therefore, the party will have to be in the morning from 10:00 to 11:30.

Ø For the party, we are asking each student to bring in a $5.00 gift to wrap for Toys-for-Tots. We will wrap them during our Christmas party. Any item will be appreciated; I hope to have a gift for each child to wrap. This really is a feel-good activity!! J

Ø Our class will be attending the 4^th grade presentation of the Christmas Story next Tuesday morning at 9:30. Please attend if possible!!

Ø Our school is collecting items for the shut-ins of our Catholic community. We have received some wonderful items so far. We have seven specific individuals in which we are collecting for (3 men & 4 women). Please continue to send in items (toothpaste, lotions, shampoos, conditioners, razors, socks, slippers, etc.).

Ø Thank you so much to all who donated items for our classroom. I really do appreciate everything. I have received a lot of the items on the wish list so please note the changes on the list below. Again, thank you and Please do not feel obligated in any way!!!
