NAN-O-GRAM
You are probably just as amazed as I am that Parent Teacher conferences are next week, and that the second trimester ends tomorrow. Where does the time go?!
We are having such a wonderful year spiritually and academically, and it has been my absolute pleasure to be a small part of it. Nothing gets my juices going more than watching the positive interactions between the kids and their teachers, or when the kids are working so well learning and sharing with each other.
I do want to stress to you that conferences at this time in the school year are particularly important. We are at the point where the teacher-parent-student partnership has jelled. Where things are great, great, however, if areas of concern or need exist, these mid-year conferences are designed to tackle those concerns, to help set your child up for successful, effective spring learning experiences.
If I can be of help in anyway, my door is always open.
Keep reading to your terrific kids!

DESSERTS NEEDED
Holy Spirit Catholic Church is
again participating in the Progressive Dinner segment of the community wide,
interdenominational “Feed the 5,000” food collection and hunger awareness
campaign. The commitment we have made is
to provide desserts. For those wishing
to help, we are asking that you provide a cake, pan dessert, or pie to be
shared at the dinner on Saturday, March 1.
Last year over 150 people attended, so we need lots of desserts!!
Desserts can be brought to the
school the morning of Feb. 29, or during your parent teacher conferences and we
will be happy to deliver them! Thanks for you help!
OPINIONS NEEDED
Included with today’s newsletter
is a short survey regarding the recent dinner/auction. Please take the few short minutes it takes to
fill it out and return to the school.
Your opinion only counts if you voice it!!!

this spring? The in-house event is
expected to be a fun-filled team building exercise that challenges your child’s
mental creativity while preparing them for the rigors of the 6th
grade competition. Interested students
will meet after school between February 25th and March 14th
for approximately 1.5 hours, three times a week (exact times to be determined
based upon response). We need at least
one additional parent volunteer to assist Mike Huston. The cost will depend upon participation and
could be as high as $5.00 per student.
If you are interested or have further questions, please call Mike at

FEED
THE 5,000
During this season of giving, the season of Lent, Holy Spirit is once again collecting canned foods and non-perishable items as a part of the non-denominational community efforts of “Feed the 5000.” The campaign will run from now until Palm Sunday. We are currently collecting items to be given to the St. Vincent de Paul Society. They are in a real need for non perishables i.e., canned meats, tuna, peanut butter, jelly, powdered milk and personal care items. Please make sure any items donated are within code dates, nothing old or expired. Remember our goal is 200 items – just one per student! We have so much, and when we are asked to share…☺
