NAN-O-GRAM

Just a reminder that we have a most important PTC meeting next Wednesday night and I hope you plan to attend. The prime focus will be the upcoming 19th Annual Crusader Basketball Tournament, held on March 28-30, and yes, it does fall on the last weekend of our spring break. Holy Spirit does not choose the dates. We are told when the gym is available, based on ISU’s academic and sport schedule, and the Dodge rodeo.  It just so happens that this year our spring breaks run concurrently limiting us to that weekend for use of the facilities.

Briefly, our school hosts over 25 teams, 5th and 6th grade, and new this year 4th graders, boys and girls, for a three-day tournament at ISU’s Reed Gym. This tournament is extremely beneficial not only as an opportunity for great basketball fun, but the kids mingle and interact with other Catholic kids from Idaho and Utah, and maybe even kids from Montana this year.

We need your help! Even if you do not have a student on a team, it is one fabulous, fun time. This is a totally volunteer effort, spearheaded by Kirk Weber. Wednesday he will discuss the many opportunities to help with food or souvenir concessions, time or score keepers, cleanup, or the all-purpose “worker bee”.  So please come to the PTC meeting for this and other pertinent school information…and, of course, pizza!

Keep reading to your terrific kids!

SPRING BREAK

Due to that one day of sunshine this week, it seems everybody is wondering when Spring Break is.  The week of Spring Break is March 24 – 28.  But wait, March 20 is Holy Thursday so the students will be dismissed at 1:00 and March 21 is Good Friday, so there is no school on that day, so we actually have a couple of extra days!

Mmmmmm…Good!

Cakes, pies, cookies, brownies and all other yummy foods are needed for the “Feed the 5,000 Progessive Dinner” scheduled for March 1.  If you would like to donate one of these items, please bring it to the school tomorrow before noon.  Thank you!!
