NAN-O-GRAM
I want to thank all who contributed desserts for the Progressive Dinner “Feed the 5000” event of last weekend. It was a wonderful evening where many interfaith denominations came together with one focus…to help those less fortunate than we are and who struggle every day to feed their families.
To add to that, our canned and/or non-perishable food and sundries collection has been an overwhelming success! Check out our main school hallway and you will see close to 500 items generously donated by you, our Holy Spirit family…and that is just in the hallway! Many classrooms have their own boxes that grow daily.
We will continue to collect here at school through Holy Thursday, and the items will be brought to St. Vincent de Paul during Easter week to help restock their shelves. God bless you for your kindness and generosity.
Keep reading to your terrific kids!

LETTER OF INTENT
Remember to return your Letter of Intent
for the 2008/09 school year. EVERYONE who is planning on sending
their child(ren) to Holy Spirit Catholic School next
year MUST submit a Letter of
Intent. Also, if you will be sending new
siblings to the school then make sure you add them as well. If you have any questions regarding these
Letters or are unable to make your deposit at this time, please see Miss Polly
in the school office.
CHILD CARE STATEMENTS
Due to the death of Miss Cathy’s father,
this month’s child care statements will be about a week late. Sorry for this inconvenience. Please keep Cathy, her Mom and her family in
your prayers.
RECYCLE THOSE OLD BAGS
March 19th is the deadline for plastic grocery bag
recycling. The school receives money from Wal-Mart for each large bag
full of plastic grocery bags. So help out old Mother Earth and bring in
those bags!
Why we need fundraisers …
Everyone gets tired of fundraising, but it is a necessity in order to
keep tuition costs down and to continue to provide the high quality education afforded at Holy Spirit.
CONGRATULATIONS
RAFFLE WINNERS
Last night at the PTC meeting
the winners for the March Raffle Drawing were pulled and the winning ticket
holders are: $400 winners – Lynsey Spoklie and Vickie Rivera;

CRUSADER BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
The
19th Annual Crusader Basketball Tournament is scheduled for March 28-30,
at Reed Gym on the campus of ISU.
Currently
we have 22 teams registered to play in the tournament. These teams are made up of 5th and
6th grade Catholic boys and girls from around the state. New this year to the tournament will be a
bracket for 4th grade teams as well.
In
order to pull this tournament off we need lots of help. Even if you do not have a student on a team,
it is one fabulous, fun time. This is a totally volunteer effort, spearheaded
by Kirk Weber. Help is needed with the following: food or souvenir concessions,
time or score keepers, cleanup, or the all-purpose “worker bee.” Sign up sheets are in the main school hallway
for those who would like to help. This
tournament is a great way to get in those last few hours of service, plus its
lots of fun! If you have any questions,
please contact Kirk Weber at 237-2812 or Mrs. Corgiat at 232-5763.
