As the Administrative Specialist my duties include; marketing, fundraising and grant writing. I plan the annual Auction/Dinner with the Parent/Teacher Club and a committee of parent volunteers. The Auction/Dinner is our largest fundraiser of the year. The 2006/2007 auction is scheduled for Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Phil Meador Courtesy Ford from 6pm – Midnight.
Holy Spirit Catholic School participates in Box Tops for Education, Campbell’s Labels for Education, Weber Give Em’ 5, Wal-Mart Bag Recycling, and Printer Cartridge Recycling. We are registered with Albertsons and Smiths for the cash for schools shopping program as well as on-line shopping with www.schoolpop.com.
Seeking grant money is an ongoing process done throughout the year based on availability and deadlines. In 2006 we are proud to be the recipients of the Fred Meyer Kid’s In Need Foundation Grant given to 2nd grade for “Catch the Wave” a science and math unit utilizing the color/light spectrum. Also the Bistline Grant which is funding the materials needed for the study of great artists and their artistic styles for grades K-6th, as well as literacy materials.
We are proud of our school and we love to see it in the newspaper as often as possible. We regularly submit articles and pictures to the Idaho State Journal and the Catholic Register.
